Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all aspects of commercial construction projects from initiation to completion.
• Develop detailed project plans, including scope, budget, schedule, and resource allocation.
• Oversee and coordinate the work of architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal site staff.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety regulations and implement robust site safety plans.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks or delays, and implement proactive solutions.
• Manage project budgets, track costs, and implement cost-control measures.
• Negotiate contracts with clients, vendors, and subcontractors.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality of workmanship and compliance with specifications.
• Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, providing regular progress updates.
• Manage project closeout activities, including final inspections, documentation, and handover.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, permits, and regulatory requirements.
• Mentor and guide junior project managers and site staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in commercial construction project management.
• Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale commercial construction projects.
• In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, codes, and regulations.
• Excellent understanding of project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6).
• Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, cost control, and contract negotiation.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Experience in conflict resolution and risk management.
• Professional certifications (e.g., PMP) are a plus.
