About the role
Duties & Responsibilities
- Leading the design, implementation, and management of complex and scalable AWS security solutions for enterprise clients.
- Providing expert-level guidance and consulting to clients on AWS security, best practices, and industry standards.
- Conducting in-depth assessments of client environments to identify security weaknesses, and recommend remediations.
- Leading troubleshooting efforts for critical and complex incidents, providing advanced technical expertise and resolution.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and deliver training programs, workshops, and knowledge sharing sessions to enhance team capabilities.
- Specializing in a particular domain and being able to provide guidance relating to that domain across company and to our clients.
- Extensive experience in designing and implementing complex security architectures, including integration of non-cloud-native security services.
- Expert-level knowledge of AWS services, with a deep understanding of their capabilities, limitations, interoperability and best practices.
- Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code frameworks such as Terraform.
- Deep understanding of AWS security practices and compliance frameworks, such as GDPR, CIS, NIST, PCI.
- Strong leadership and mentorship skills, with the ability to guide and coach junior and intermediate team members.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities, including the ability to handle critical incidents and provide timely resolutions.
- Troubleshooting issues and providing support for AWS services related to the services identified. - Customer Meetings (Reporting, Consulting)
- Handle Incident Escalations
- Handle Technical Escalations
- SIEM management and platform development
- Vulnerability Management, eg: Tenable/Nessus
- Third-party security services, eg: Cloudflare.
- Updating/Deploying remote security monitoring code for cloud environment according to security principles.
- Configure wide range of security tools across multiple cloud environments
- Updating security processes and knowledge-base documentation
- Customer Service Requests
- Internal Service Requests
- Updating/Deploying remote security monitoring code
- Threat Hunting
- Create training documentation and train colleagues where required.

Preferred Skills and Experience
- Five or more years of experience in a similar role
- BSc. in Computer Science, Engineering or related diplomas.
- AWS Certifications (eg: Security Specialty & Solutions Architect Professional)
- Some development language and some experience in developing software
- Familiar with the software lifecycle process
