Lockheed Martin delivers HPC services to federal government clients and is looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer with a strong Unix/Linux background. This role is vital for the success of our Data Centric‑Multi‑Level Secure® (DC‑MLS®) Enterprise team, contributing to various critical contracts, particularly focusing on HPC projects.

Responsibilities

  • Deploy and maintain RHEL/SE Linux configurations using Red Hat Satellite and Ansible automation.
  • Collaborate directly with site administrators to troubleshoot automation and deployment issues.
  • Install software libraries necessary for the functionality of DC‑MLS® Enterprise in RHEL/SE Linux environments.
  • Monitor and adapt the DC‑MLS® Enterprise systems in a flexible, agile environment.
  • Engage with third‑party vendors to refine and integrate automation processes.
  • Apply best DevOps engineering practices to ensure high‑quality project delivery.
  • Support end‑users and staff in resolving issues related to the DC‑MLS® Enterprise.
  • Revise and improve existing DevOps processes to enhance deployment capabilities.
  • Develop and manage test plans for filesystem upgrades.
  • Contribute to business development activities with potential new clients.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience with Linux, scripting/software development, and configuration management.
  • Proficient in Python, Perl, Korn, Bourne/Bash, Ansible, and shell scripting.
  • Experience with version control tools like CVS, SVN, Git.
  • Experience managing and developing DevOps deployment automation processes.
  • Security+ certification.
  • TS/SCI with CI Poly security clearance required to start.

Desired Skills

  • Understanding of the software development lifecycle including requirements, design, coding, documentation, and testing.
  • Ability to analyze and maintain existing DevOps systems.
  • Familiarity with SE Linux configurations and policies.
  • Experience with RH Satellite and various file systems including Lustre and NFS.
  • Knowledge of Ethernet networking and RDMA communications.
  • Experience with high‑speed fabrics and MPI integration.
  • Familiarity with identity management systems like LDAP.

Location

This position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Regular work hours are Monday through Friday.
