Your Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will assume end-to-end responsibility for the software verification of complex medical devices and decide on the use of future-oriented technologies.

You ensure full traceability and coverage of system-level requirements for high-quality embedded digital solutions.
  • Firmware Testing Automation Leadership: You define, implement and lead device-level automation test frameworks, including CI/CD integration, to enable the rapid and safe delivery of firmware updates.
  • Defect Management & Risk Analysis Expertise: You drive the defect management process by overseeing reporting and resolution workflows. You serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for firmware verification defects, ensuring all issues undergo rigorous risk analysis and are thoroughly documented.
  • Strategic Connectivity: You define and lead the verification strategy for wireless communication (BLE) and cybersecurity standards, ensuring compliance through risk-based testing.
  • Agile Leadership & Knowledge Transfer: You provide technical guidance to agile testing teams, including internal resources and third-party suppliers. You establish standards for the Near Patient Care department, and promote knowledge sharing through training and consulting.

Who You Are

We are looking for an individual who is passionate about quality in embedded systems and can solve complex technical challenges independently.

  • You have successfully completed a degree (Bachelor, Master, or PhD) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable field of study.
  • You possess professional experience in software testing (6-8 years with a Bachelor's; 5-7 years with a Master's; 3-5 years with a PhD), ideally within a regulated environment (e.g., IEC 62304, ISO 13485).
  • You have expert knowledge and hands-on experience in firmware testing, embedded design, and implementing automated test frameworks.
  • You are experienced with defect management within firmware/software development.
  • Expertise in Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) protocols, functional safety, and cybersecurity is highly preferred.
  • You enjoy working in agile, globally distributed teams and have excellent business fluency in English.
