Als Senior Software Verification Engineer (m/w/d) sicherst du die Qualität und Konformität unserer Embedded-Software-Lösungen und trägst so direkt zur Verbesserung des Lebens von Patient:innen bei.

Your central task

In dieser Rolle übernimmst du die End-to-End-Verantwortung für die Software-Verifizierung komplexer Medizinprodukte und entscheidest über den Einsatz zukunftsorientierter Technologien.

• Verification Strategy & Architecture: You are responsible for planning, executing, and documenting software tests throughout the entire development lifecycle, focusing on flexible and extensible architectures. You ensure full traceability and coverage of system requirements for high-quality digital embedded solutions.
• Firmware Test Automation Leadership: You define, implement, and lead device-level test automation frameworks, including CI/CD integration, to enable fast and secure delivery of firmware updates.
• Expertise in Defect Management & Risk Analysis: You manage the defect management process by overseeing reporting and resolution workflows. As a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for firmware verification defects, you ensure all issues undergo rigorous risk analysis and are thoroughly documented.
• Strategic Connectivity: You define and lead the verification strategy for wireless communication (BLE) and cybersecurity standards, ensuring compliance through risk-based testing.
• Agile Leadership & Knowledge Transfer: You provide technical guidance to agile testing teams, including internal resources and external vendors. You establish standards for the "Near Patient Care" department and foster knowledge sharing through training and mentoring.

Who you are:

We are looking for a personality with a passion for quality in embedded systems, who can independently solve complex technical challenges.

• You have successfully completed studies (Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable field.
• You have professional experience in software testing (6-8 years with a Bachelor's; 5-7 years with a Master's; 3-5 years with a PhD), ideally in a regulated environment (e.g., IEC 62304, ISO 13485).
• You possess expert knowledge and practical experience in firmware testing, embedded design, and the implementation of automated test frameworks.
• You are experienced in defect management within firmware/software development.
• Expertise in Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) protocols, functional safety, and cybersecurity is explicitly desired.
• You enjoy working in agile, globally distributed teams and have excellent English language skills.
