Systems Engineer

About

A well-established financial services firm is hiring a Systems Engineer for a full-time, internal role supporting a hybrid infrastructure environment. This position is primarily remote within the Tri-State area, with occasional on-site travel as needed. You’ll be working heavily with VMware 8 (including migrations and upgrades), Windows Server environments, and cloud platforms like AWS and Azure to modernize and maintain critical systems that support core business operations.

Experience

• 5+ years of experience as a Systems Engineer
• Strong hands-on experience with VMware (vSphere, ESXi), specifically version 8 migrations/upgrades
• Solid experience with Windows Server (2016/2019/2022)
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS and/or Azure)
• Active Directory, DNS, DHCP experience
• Experience supporting production infrastructure in an enterprise environment

Desired Skills & Experience

• Experience in financial services or regulated environments
• Familiarity with backup and disaster recovery solutions
• Experience with scripting (PowerShell)
• Knowledge of hybrid cloud architecture
• VMware certifications (VCP or higher)
