Responsibilities
- Independently create and maintain interactive technical documentation (IETD) according to ASD S1000D and military standards
- Create maintenance, repair, and training documents for complex systems
- Analyze project-specific requirements, create compliance matrices, and manage requirements
- Define and structure work packages including effort, duration, and dependencies
- Collaborate closely with internal departments, customers, and subcontractors
- Create technical content such as performance descriptions, editorial guidelines, terminology lists, and quick guides
- Verify technical documentation on the product and report on progress, quality, deadlines, and budgets
- Define and manage deliverables, scope of work, and activities including dependencies within the project context
Qualifications
- Completed technical degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or comparable field, alternatively completed technical training and further education as a certified technician
- Solid experience with content management systems like EAGLE, HiCo, and structured documents like XML/SGML
- Deep technical understanding, ideally with experience in the defense sector and knowledge of Bundeswehr terminology
- Confident handling of ASD standards S1000D, S2000M, S3000L, MIL-STD, and project-specific customer guidelines
- Proficient with MS Office; knowledge of other editorial systems is advantageous
- Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken
- Structured, independent, and reliable working style
