Our client, a leader in cybersecurity solutions, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Threat Intelligence Analyst to join their dedicated team in Klerksdorp, North West, ZA. This is a critical on-site role focused on proactively identifying, analyzing, and mitigating cyber threats against the organization and its clients. You will be responsible for collecting and processing vast amounts of threat data, identifying emerging attack vectors, adversary tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs), and providing actionable intelligence to support security operations and strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of the current threat landscape, advanced analytical skills, and hands-on experience with threat intelligence platforms and tools. This position demands a proactive and investigative mindset, with a passion for staying ahead of cyber adversaries.

Responsibilities

• Collect, analyze, and interpret data from various sources to identify and assess emerging cyber threats and trends.
• Develop and maintain intelligence collection plans to address critical organizational intelligence requirements.
• Research and analyze adversary TTPs, motivations, and capabilities.
• Produce timely and actionable threat intelligence reports, briefings, and alerts for different stakeholders, including technical teams and executive leadership.
• Develop and manage threat intelligence feeds and indicators of compromise (IOCs).
• Collaborate with Security Operations Center (SOC) analysts, incident responders, and other security teams to provide context and support for threat detection and mitigation efforts.
• Utilize threat intelligence platforms (TIPs) and other security tools to enhance intelligence gathering and analysis.
• Conduct proactive threat hunting activities based on intelligence insights.
• Build and maintain relationships with external threat intelligence communities and information sharing organizations.
• Contribute to the development and refinement of the organization's threat intelligence program and methodologies.
• Stay current with the latest cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and attacker methodologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a significant focus on threat intelligence analysis.
• Demonstrated expertise in analyzing malware, network traffic, and forensic data for threat intelligence purposes.
• Strong understanding of geopolitical factors influencing cyber threats and adversary motivations.
• Proficiency with various threat intelligence platforms (TIPs), SIEM tools, and data analysis techniques.
• Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python) for automation of intelligence tasks is highly desirable.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Relevant industry certifications (e.g., GCTI, CTI, CISSP) are a plus.
