Role Overview

We are seeking an innovative, visionary, and commercially minded Senior Transformation Engineer to design, implement, and scale next‑generation productivity and hyperautomation solutions across Allianz Group. You bring proven experience in intelligent automation, programme management, and modern data‑driven ways of working, enabling you to operate in a dynamic, global environment.

The Senior Transformation Engineer will join our Productivity Solutions & Innovation group – a global team of 200+ transformation and AI specialists – dedicated to driving automation and technology innovation across Allianz. Most of us have a consulting background and love supporting our internal clients (Allianz Operating Entities) transform their business with technology and scalable automation solutions.

This role offers a broad range of advisory and hands-on services focused on programme management and hyperautomation. You will engage in conceptual strategy work, develop automation solution roadmaps, and oversee implementation of cutting-edge RPA/GenAI initiatives within a clearly defined scope together with the global delivery team.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the design and delivery of hyperautomation solutions, including diagnostics, RPA, GenAI, agentic frameworks, analytics, and workflow orchestration.
  • Support transformation initiatives through Scrum/agile ways of working to enable iterative, value‑driven delivery.
  • Shape automation architectures and roadmaps using platforms such as AWS Bedrock Agents, Microsoft AutoGen, and enterprise automation tools, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Develop PowerBI dashboards and PowerAutomate workflows to improve transparency and support decision‑making.
  • Apply systems‑thinking principles to assess cross‑functional dependencies and strengthen automation solution design.
  • Support organisational change activities, including training and adoption of automation solutions, while adhering to IT governance and data‑security requirements.
  • Provide consulting support to Allianz Operating Entities to identify automation opportunities and recommend suitable technologies.
  • Coordinate international, cross‑functional project teams and vendors, using AI‑enabled project‑management techniques (e.g., GenAI copilots and automated reporting) to enhance PMO effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Hands‑on experience in process automation, intelligent automation, and large‑scale transformation programmes.
  • Strong agile mindset with practical experience in Scrum/agile methods.
  • Technical proficiency in Python and the ability to review automation scripts, data pipelines, and AI‑enabled workflows.
  • Experience with PowerBI, PowerAutomate, and workflow automation platforms.
  • Strong analytical and systems‑thinking mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Fluency in English and strong proficiency in German and/or French.
  • International, cross‑cultural collaboration experience.
