Job Description

In this role as Senior Workplace / Endpoint Engineer (m/f/d), you will take responsibility for the conception, further development, and secure operation of the worldwide endpoint landscape.

You will work closely with global IT teams and shape standards, processes, and technological decisions in the areas of client management, security, and automation.

Your Tasks:

• You will lead the global transformation of endpoint management towards a centrally managed, highly secure, and automated infrastructure.
• Evaluation of modern technologies and selection of suitable solutions in close coordination with IT Security and the global IT strategy.
• Design, setup, and operation of the worldwide imaging, configuration, software deployment, and monitoring infrastructure.
• Definition of global standards and templates for application and configuration management.
• Setup, establishment, and further development of global change, incident, and maintenance processes.
• Coordination of technology evaluations, product tests, and configuration approvals.
• Training and support of internal colleagues worldwide.
• Prospective possibility to take over the leadership of a small team.
• Management of external service providers and ensuring stable, scalable operation.

Education

Completed degree in computer science or a comparable qualification.

Knowledge

Technical

• Knowledge of modern client security technologies (TPM, encryption, PW-less logons, Conditional Access, VPN, M365, Azure services).
• Experience in automation with PowerShell and in application packaging.

Personal

• Strong personality with a positive "can-do" attitude.
• Very good communication skills in an international environment with internal and external partners.
• Structured, methodical, and independent way of working.
• Multitasking ability, proactivity, team orientation, and high reliability.
• Fluent German and English skills, both written and spoken.

Experience

• Several years of professional experience in a similar role in an international, ideally family-run company.
• In-depth know-how in client and endpoint management with Microsoft Intune and/or SCCM as well as Active Directory in hybrid scenarios.
• Experience in international desktop rollouts (>3,000 clients) in multilingual environments.

Location

Location in the greater Wiesbaden, Mainz area; Home Office possible by arrangement.
