Our mission

At Doctrine, we have been committed since 2016 to a major democratic challenge: making law more accessible. We are the 1st legal AI platform that allows lawyers and legal professionals to free themselves from repetitive and time-consuming tasks, to focus on what matters, at every stage of their work: whether it's understanding a case, searching for information, or drafting documents.

Doctrine today means over 1 million visits each month and dozens of new legal professionals joining us every day. Our ambition goes beyond borders: we aim to build the European leader in legal AI. After France, we have already launched Doctrine in Italy, and are currently working on our expansion in Germany with a strong conviction: we must think globally, with local implementation. This is why we work closely with the needs of our clients and strive to understand the subtleties of each legal system very finely.

The context

Doctrine has signed a letter of intent with the French state to equip all public administrations in France.

Security expectations are very high, which is why we want to build a sovereign version of our platform, based on GCP technology.

This is a project we have estimated at two years. We want to start as soon as possible and have someone operational on this technical scope directly.

We are therefore currently looking for an SRE GCP profile to join our Kernel squad, which handles our infrastructure & network issues. This team also helps our various technical squads on a daily basis to provide the best tools for our developers.

Note: professional experience in the legal field is not necessary, however, the desire to invest and develop skills in understanding legal documents is important :)

The missions

As of April 2, 2026, the project is still in its early stages, with an architecture to be defined entirely. The role involves being proactive in its design, then overseeing its end-to-end implementation. The environment relies on two senior SREs: one bringing solid internal experience and AWS expertise, while the other will help structure and develop skills around the GCP ecosystem.

Once the migration is complete, here are the missions of the Kernel squad:

• Automate the management of all development tools at Doctrine, particularly around CI/CD pipelines
• Ensure that Doctrine can scale internationally
• Guarantee that all these tools are functional and accessible
• Define and promote good development practices, align the use of tools and processes with them
• Improve Doctrine's development environment and practices with the entire Tech team, particularly by designing and deploying new tools
• Design and develop automation systems
• Receive, analyze, and resolve production issues; participate in the on-call program.

The ideal profile

• Good knowledge of automation and scripting
• Experience deploying scalable infrastructures on GCP with Terraform
• A strong interest in building quality/tested code
• Experience with complex production systems and web technologies
• Experience in design/development
