To strengthen our pool of experts, we are looking for you as a Site Reliability Engineer (m/f/d) as soon as possible.
Responsibilities
In the area of operating and further developing Cloud Management Platforms, you will take on tasks in the implementation of cloud-native architectures and be responsible for the integration and commissioning of Kubernetes-based container orchestration platforms. You will support the design of the CI/CD pipeline and, together with your colleagues, define the use of suitable automation tools. In the spirit of continuous improvement of the operating environment, you will continuously analyze the overall system for vulnerabilities and security gaps and plan their remediation. In direct interaction with operational staff and users, you will capture their requirements and problem areas and develop both short-term and sustainable solutions.
When working with large to very large Cloud Management Platforms, you will be confronted with the following activities:
- Ensuring the operation of applications and procedures up to availability class BSI VK 5
- Design, setup, and operation of Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment, and Continuous Delivery solutions
- Implementing Infrastructure as Code
- Automating operational processes
- Conceptualizing and implementing emergency recovery management
- Building, operating, and using established analysis and monitoring platforms
- Designing and conducting penetration tests and security analyses
Requirements
You have a completed degree in (Business) Informatics or a comparable qualification and several years of professional experience as an IT system administrator or in IT infrastructure management. You are among the best in your field and have repeatedly demonstrated your capabilities in highly complex situations.
Your experience includes:
- Building or operating a container management framework such as Openshift, Cloud Foundry, etc.
- Administration of Linux/Unix or Windows servers
- Creating and understanding Helm charts
- Connecting and configuring storage components to Kubernetes clusters
- Experience with Container Security Suites like Aqua, NeuVector, Twistlock and IAM/RBAC solutions like OpenID Connect or Rancher Management Cluster
- Confident use of Ingress Controllers like Traefik, Kong, Ingress-nginx
- Load balancing, autoscaling, and auditing interfaces
- Various scripting and programming languages
Additionally, desirable qualifications include:
- Knowledge of BSI-Grundschutz and the BSI High Availability Compendium
- Experience in transforming applications to the cloud
- Knowledge of ITSM, project management, and testing processes
- Experience in the field of internal and external security
In case of deployment, we absolutely require from you:
- Willingness for on-call duty and 24/7 emergency support
- Knowledge of the German language according to certificate C1 or higher

Requirements
- Abgeschlossenes Studium aus dem Bereich (Wirtschafts-)Informatik oder eine vergleichbare Ausbildung
- Mehrere Jahre Berufserfahrung als IT-Systemadministrator:in oder im IT-Infrastruktur-Management
- Aufbau oder Betrieb eines Container Management Frameworks wie Openshift, Cloud Foundry, etc.
