What awaits you

As a Software Deployment Engineer (m/f/d), you play an important role within the Data Analytics and Automatic Passenger Counting team. The software solutions include analyses of historical data of public transport operations, as well as real-time processing and display of passenger numbers, so that our global customers can derive optimal forecasts.

• Together with your team, you act as an interface to national and international transport companies, supporting them in the introduction and use of our system solutions, and are in constant exchange with our colleagues from development.
• You plan deliveries (installations, updates, patches) of our software solutions for data analysis and roll them out on our complex customer systems.
• Within the scope of our customer projects, you coordinate software migrations for our software solutions.
• Furthermore, you ensure the specific documentation of all required information in our ticket system JIRA and the knowledge database Confluence - to ensure broad knowledge transfer.
• You perform functional tests of the delivered software and analyze any errors, possibly also based on the program code.
• For constant know-how transfer, you work closely with your future colleagues in your own team as well as with cross-departmental units.
• You support the improvement and automation of deployment processes.

What you bring with you

• You have completed training as an IT specialist, studied in the IT field, or acquired your technical expertise through practical (professional) experience.
• Affinity for data and its analysis.
• Fluent German and English skills help you in technical exchange with colleagues and customers.
• You have sound knowledge of SQL, preferably in the Oracle environment.
• Basic understanding of server configurations (e.g., clusters, virtual machines).
• Experience with PowerShell, Java, and/or PL/SQL is desirable.
• Ideally, you already have initial experience with cloud and real-time technologies as well as CI/CD and can contribute this.
• You like to contribute actively, consider teamwork important, and enjoy sharing your knowledge with others.
