Software Developer mobile (m/w/d) VPN und Security (Android/iOS)

Your Tasks

• Development of mobile VPN components under Android (e.g. with VpnService) and iOS (e.g. with NetworkExtension)
• Integration and further development of security-relevant functions, especially in the area of encryption and authentication
• Close cooperation with security architects, network and backend teams
• Analysis and optimization of performance, reliability and energy consumption
• Support for the integration of Mobile Device Management (MDM) and App Configuration interfaces

Your Profile

• Completed studies in (business) informatics, electrical engineering or a comparable qualification

• Several years of experience in the development of mobile apps for Android (Java/Flutter) and iOS (Swift)

• Sound knowledge in:

  • VPN technologies (IPSec/IKEv2, StrongSwan, WireGuard, OpenVPN)
  • Network technologies, routing, TCP/IP, DNS, NAT
  • App sandboxing, Secure Storage, TLS/SSL

• Experience with system APIs such as VpnService (Android) and NetworkExtension (iOS)

• Familiarity with security requirements in highly critical environments (e.g. Government, Enterprise, Defence)

• Independent, structured way of working and teamwork skills

• Good German and English skills, both written and spoken

• Desirable:

  • Experience with cross-platform development frameworks (e.g. Flutter with native VPN bridge)
  • Know-how in pentesting mobile apps or security certifications (e.g. OSCP, CISSP, CEH)
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, app signing, and deployment strategies in the enterprise context
