Software Engineer (AI)

Our client is currently seeking a Software Engineer (AI).

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance Power BI reports
• Partner with business stakeholders and non-technical users to gather requirements
• Provide guidance on AI readiness, specifically:
  • Large Language Models (LLMs)
  • Creating and evolving AI agents
• Help position reporting and analytics for an AI-enabled future

Requirements

• Power BI
  • Strong hands-on experience building and maintaining reports
  • Dashboarding, analytics, slicing/dicing data
• Business Analysis
  • Liaising with internal customers
  • Translating business needs into reporting solutions
• AI Readiness
  • Understanding of Large Language Models
  • Experience or strong interest in building agents
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Copilot (currently in use)

Team & Environment

• Part of Enterprise Data & Architecture
• Existing team of 2 in-house developers; looking to expand
• Highly analytical team supporting:
  • Merchandising
  • Finance
  • Taxation (e.g., state-specific tax filing reports)
  • Sales performance and operational reporting
• Works closely with:
  • Data Governance
  • Data Scientists
  • Data Analytics teams
• Focus on insights from multiple perspectives:
  • Merchants
  • Stores
  • Enterprise leadership
• Strong customer focus is critical
• Candidate should be proactive and engaged with AI evolution
• Ability to guide and influence AI strategy while building alongside the team
