Summary

We are seeking highly motivated and detail-oriented Build Engineer with 3 to 5 years of experience developing scalable products as well as experience working on enhancements and ongoing maintenance work. Education & Experience

• Bachelors of Science in Computer Science or equivalent
• 3 to 5 years of experience developing scalable products as well as experience working on enhancement and ongoing feature and maintenance work

Responsibilities

• Create and monitor daily software build procedures.
• Collaborate with other developers and departments to ensure high quality software and timely delivery.
• Strive for continuous improvement and build continuous integration, continuous development and constant deployment pipeline (CI/CD Pipeline).
• Defining and setting development, test, release, update and support processes for DevOps operation.
• Enhance and extend CI/CD automation to improve speed, reliability and repeatability of deployments of internal and 3rd party software.
• Perform technical reviews and ensure adherence to standard SDLC practices, coding, and testing.
• Strong experience with agile software development techniques, developer‑driven testing and highly automated test environments.
• Maintain and enhance scripts on an ongoing basis per development feedback.
• Ensure that unit and system tests are automated per quality assurance requirements.
• Optimize performance and scalability as necessary to meet business goals of application and environment.
• Open to take on other projects and responsibilities as necessary.

Required Skills

• Proficient in Maven, Jenkins, SVN, Git
• Experience with working on the AWS Cloud platform
• Experience with 4‑tier architectures
• Familiarity with software packing tools (exe, deb, rpm, Docker)
• Experience with relational databases such as MS SQL
• Experience with Linux and Windows OS
• Management of infrastructure assets, networks, servers, operating systems, DBs
• Proficient with source‑control tools and best practices

Preferred Skills

• Flexibility and willingness to pitch in where needed (this may mean on occasion helping with other functions e.g., QA, Operations)
• AWS DevOps Engineer Professional Certification is a plus
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills and an interest in working in a collaborative team environment
• Experience with monitoring tools like Grafana
