About the role
About Us
As a family-run, high-tech company with nearly 19,000 employees at 71 locations worldwide, we are looking for forward thinkers with unconventional ideas and drive to join our team. Our company culture, which values collaboration and mutual trust, creates the ideal framework for boldly trying new things and questioning the status quo. Our technologies inspire people to develop and produce things that are currently unimaginable. Whether lasers, machine tools, EUV or electronics - TRUMPF is building technological worlds for future generations. Are you ready for new challenges?
TRUMPF Hüttinger is a world-leading manufacturer of DC, medium, high-frequency, and semiconductor-based solid-state microwave generators as a high-tech company. We bring electricity to the required frequency and power. Our technologies are hidden in many areas of everyday life and you encounter them more often than you think: for example, in smartphones, on glass facades, in solar and PV systems, or in microchips for the computer and communications industry.
Your New Role
- You will independently test new device functions of our VHF plasma generators and verify the correct function of the software in the lab using modern measuring instruments and automated test systems.
- Through systematic analysis, you will identify weaknesses in the device software, pinpoint the origin of errors using generator signals, and provide targeted feedback to development.
- In close cooperation with the team, you will further develop standardized system test benches for combined hardware and software tests – from defining and controlling suitable measuring instruments to automating test sequences.
- With your Python skills, you will drive the automation of hardware and software tests, thereby creating the basis for efficient, reproducible testing processes.
- Interdisciplinary collaboration with internal departments and external partners is part of your daily work and allows you to contribute your knowledge in a diverse environment.
What Excites Us
- A successfully completed degree in electrical engineering, technical computer science, or a comparable field forms your professional foundation – the path to get there can be individual.
- You bring sound experience in the field of system testing and test automation, ideally supplemented by knowledge in the HF field.
- Practical expertise in Python enables you to efficiently automate test processes and approach technical challenges in a structured manner.
- Your understanding of changes in FPGA and microcontroller code allows you to holistically evaluate software and hardware levels.
- Analytical problem-solving skills, a strong desire to shape things, and a high sense of responsibility characterize you and drive you to actively develop processes further.
What We Offer
- Appreciative work environment in a family company where diversity and equal opportunities are paramount.
- Independent and structured work where you can contribute your ideas, make decisions independently, and actively shape processes.
- Extensive training and further education offers that provide you with individual development opportunities and specifically promote your professional and personal skills.
- Attractive additional benefits for your health and mobility, including Hansefit for your fitness and Business Bike for sustainable and flexible transportation.
- Respectful and appreciative corporate culture where your commitment is recognized and you can develop your full potential in a motivating work environment.
