Responsibilities

• Development of test strategies, test plans, and test cases based on provided requirements and design documents
• Execution of test case scenarios to validate the functionality, performance, and security of IAM systems and applications; this includes manual testing as well as the use of test automation tools where applicable
• Identification and documentation of software defects, tracking their status, and collaborating with development teams for timely resolution
• Configuration and maintenance of required test environments (servers, databases, network configurations, and user roles) to simulate realistic scenarios
• Collaboration with cross-functional teams – including developers, business analysts, and project managers – to ensure a clear understanding of requirements and to accurately report on test progress and encountered issues

Requirements

• Successfully completed studies in (Business) Informatics, vocational training as an IT specialist (m/f/d) for system integration / application development, or a comparable qualification
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify, analyze, and resolve complex issues encountered during IDM testing
• Ability to develop comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and test cases
• Knowledge of test effort estimation, risk assessment, and prioritization
• Experience in various testing techniques such as functional testing, integration testing, performance testing, and security testing
• Familiarity with modern infrastructure, e.g., Kubernetes and container technologies
• Understanding of Identity Management (IDM) concepts and principles, including user provisioning, user lifecycle management, role-based access control (RBAC), identity synchronization, and password management
• Solid experience in analyzing log files as well as effective troubleshooting and debugging in IDM systems
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and project managers
• Experience with Identity Management applications such as midPoint or similar solutions is an advantage
• Fluent German and English language skills
