Solutions Architect

Job Description

Solutions Architect responsible for designing scalable, secure, cloud-native applications supporting high-traffic digital platforms.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Own architecture and design for cloud data applications
• Support a homegrown CMS and cloud-native microservices ecosystem
• Partner with product and development teams on investigation spikes
• Define infrastructure needs for new product initiatives
• Communicate architectural direction to technical leads
• Ensure scalability, security, resiliency, uptime, and maintainability
• Provide data-backed reasoning for architectural decisions
• Guide microservices and micro-frontend architecture patterns

Requirements:

Must-Haves:

• 5 years of progressive software engineering experience
• At least a few years in a true architect role
• Strong Azure and AWS cloud experience
• Multicloud environment experience
• Strong microservices architecture experience
• Micro-frontend architecture experience
• Strong understanding of network protocols
• Experience with network-edge caching strategies
• Experience maintaining high availability across the network layer
• Strong optimization, scalability, security, and resiliency principles
• Ability to adapt quickly and communicate across product and engineering teams

Nice-to-Haves:

• AWS streaming experience
• Azure cloud engineer certification
• Cloud or networking certifications
• Bachelor's degree
• Media, streaming, or SaaS platform experience
