Solution Architect - Cloud, VMware, IaC vacancy for our Basel based client in the Banking sector.

Your tasks:

• Design and architect scalable, secure, and resilient infrastructure solutions across cloud, hybrid, and on-premises environments.
• Develop technical architecture documentation, including system diagrams, data flows, and integration patterns.
• Oversee the implementation of infrastructure solutions to ensure alignment with approved designs.
• Lead Proof of Concept initiatives for new technologies and review technical designs from engineering teams.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions and implementation strategies.

Your experience/knowledge:

• At least 7 years' experience in infrastructure, operations, or systems engineering roles with 3+ years in solutions or technical architecture.
• Proven track record of designing and implementing enterprise-scale infrastructure solutions across cloud and on-premises.
• Deep expertise in cloud platforms and cloud-native architectures, strong knowledge of virtualisation (e.g. VMware), and containerisation/orchestration tools (e.g. Kubernetes).
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools, such as Terraform and Ansible.
• Language skills: English.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to convey complex technical concepts to nontechnical audiences
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a strategic mindset
• Collaborative approach and ability to work productively across diverse teams
