About the Role
As a Solution Design Engineer, you will be the primary architect for our client’s IT environments. Your mission is to translate complex business challenges into high‑performance technical roadmaps. From cloud migrations and cybersecurity frameworks to robust server infrastructures, you will design the systems that keep our clients' businesses running at peak efficiency.
- Infrastructure Design: Develop comprehensive IT solutions including server architecture (on‑prem and cloud), virtualization, and enterprise‑grade networking.
- Technical Scoping & Pre‑Sales: Partner with the sales team to conduct technical discovery sessions, identify client pain points, and create detailed Statements of Work (SOW).
- Security Architecture: Integrate advanced cybersecurity measures—such as firewalls, MFA, and endpoint protection—into every system design to ensure client data integrity.
- System Documentation: Create high‑quality network diagrams, hardware specifications, and configuration guides to ensure seamless hand‑offs to our implementation teams.
- Technology Roadmap Planning: Evaluate emerging technologies to provide clients with long‑term hardware and software refresh strategies that align with their growth.

Schedule
This is an in‑person, full‑time exempt position in our Lakewood, NJ office. Employees are expected to manage their schedules to fulfill role responsibilities and company needs, which may occasionally require work outside standard business hours.
Salary
$90,000 – $125,000 per year (Based on experience and certifications)

Requirements
- Professional Experience: 4+ years in IT systems engineering, solutions architecture, or a senior‑level Managed Service Provider (MSP) role.
- Network Mastery: Expert‑level understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, and SD‑WAN configurations.
- Cloud & Virtualization: Proven experience designing environments in Microsoft Azure, AWS, and VMware/Hyper‑V.
- Communication: Exceptional ability to explain technical "why" to non‑technical stakeholders and business owners.
- Certifications: Active certifications such as CCNP, Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert, or Azure Solutions Architect are highly preferred.
Requirements
