Windows 365 Solution Architect

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Windows 365 Solution Architect to lead the assessment, design, and implementation of modern end-user computing (EUC) environments. The role will focus on evaluating existing Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments and designing scalable, secure, and cost-effective Windows 365 (Cloud PC) solutions.

The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in cloud virtualization, Microsoft Intune, Azure networking, and identity management, along with strong stakeholder engagement and architectural design capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

Assessment & Strategy

• Perform detailed assessments of existing AVD workloads and identify candidates for migration to Windows 365
• Conduct cost analysis and optimization comparing AVD vs Windows 365 (licensing, infrastructure, operations)
• Define migration strategy and roadmap for transitioning to Windows 365

Solution Architecture & Design

• Design end-to-end Windows 365 architecture, including:
  • Cloud PC sizing and provisioning models
  • Licensing strategy
  • Identity integration using Azure AD (Entra ID)
  • Networking and connectivity design (VNet, VPN, ExpressRoute)
• Ensure high availability, scalability, and resiliency in solution design
• Incorporate security and compliance frameworks

Implementation & Deployment

• Configure and deploy Windows 365 Cloud PCs
• Implement and manage Microsoft Intune:
  • Device configuration
  • Compliance policies
  • Security baselines
  • Patch management
• Support integration with existing infrastructure and applications

Migration & Operations

• Plan and execute migration from AVD to Windows 365
• Ensure minimal disruption and smooth transition
• Provide documentation, runbooks, and operational handover

Collaboration & Governance

• Work closely with:
  • Infrastructure teams
  • Security teams
  • Business stakeholders
• Provide technical leadership and guidance
• Deliver clear documentation and conduct knowledge transfer sessions

Required Skills & Experience

Technical Skills

• 10+ years of experience in End User Computing (EUC) and virtualization
• Strong hands-on experience with:
  • Windows 365 (Cloud PC)
  • Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD)
  • Microsoft Intune (Endpoint Management)
• Strong knowledge of:
  • Azure networking (VNet, VPN, ExpressRoute)
  • Identity & access management (Azure AD / Entra ID)
• Experience with:
  • Cost modeling and optimization (AVD vs W365)
  • High availability and resilient architectures

Professional Skills

• Strong stakeholder communication and presentation skills
• Experience in architecture documentation and governance
• Ability to lead end-to-end solution delivery
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
