Solutions Architect

About the Role We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect to join Banking Client Technology Architecture Team on a contract basis. This role is pivotal in designing and delivering client-focused technology solutions aligned with enterprise architecture principles, security standards, and regulatory requirements within a dynamic financial services environment

Key Responsibilities • Design and deliver end-to-end solution architectures that enable client-centric capabilities. • Translate business requirements into robust, scalable technical designs. • Ensure compliance with company's architecture principles, governance frameworks, and financial services regulations. • Provide technical leadership during implementation, including vendor/development team coordination and architectural quality assurance. • Produce high-quality architecture artefacts and documentation. • Advise on technology trends, integration strategies, and optimisation opportunities.

What We're Looking For • 5+ years' experience as a Solution Architect in complex enterprise environments, preferably in financial services. • Strong knowledge of integration patterns, modern application architectures (microservices, APIs), and data architecture. • Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications • TOGAF or equivalent architecture certification. • Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computer Science/Information Systems or Bachelor of Information Technology (BIT) or BCom in Information Systems / Informatics or applicable BSc Engineering • Experience in consultancy or vendor-led delivery models.

Soft Skills • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability. • Collaborative mindset with a focus on knowledge sharing. • Ability to deliver under pressure and tight timelines.
