About the role
Position Summary
Seeking a senior cloud engineer to strengthen cloud infrastructure, data protection, and disaster recovery across M365 and on‑prem environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic guidance on Azure cloud infrastructure to ensure scalability, high availability, disaster recovery, and security for 24/7 mission‑critical operations.
- Lead the design, deployment, and ongoing management of Azure cloud architecture, including virtual networks, connectivity (VNet peering, VPN/Express Route), security controls, compute platforms, and storage solutions across multiple environments.
- Develop, document, and enforce Azure cloud governance, standards, and operational procedures to drive consistency, compliance, and reliable production operations.
- Own large‑scale Azure initiatives end‑to‑end, coordinating cross‑functional teams to deliver complex cloud migrations, modernizations, and infrastructure rollouts on time and within scope.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in IT/CS (Master’s preferred)
- 5+ years cloud systems engineering including M365, Rubrik or enterprise backup platforms and Azure AD integration.
- Strong scripting/automation (Power Shell, Azure CLI)
- Experience building DR/backup strategies for hybrid environments
- Strong communication and problem‑solving skills
- MSP experience handling urgent issues and high‑volume environments
- Highly detail‑oriented; disciplined background
- Exceptional troubleshooting experience
Preferred Certifications
M365 Enterprise Administrator Expert, Azure Administrator Associate, Rubrik Certified Administrator (RCA)
Additional Information
- Duration: 6 months Contract to Hire
- Work Schedule: Daily, Full‑Time/Permanent
- Travel: Remote
- Work Authorization: Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship
