This role will Lead end-to-end execution of engineering programs from concept, design, validation, and launch.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead end-to-end execution of engineering programs from concept, design, validation, and launch. - Develop and manage program timelines, resource plans, budgets, and risk mitigation strategies - Possess a strong understanding of product development lifecycle and engineering processes. - Review technical deliverables to ensure alignment with product requirements and standards. - Manage scope changes and ensure proper documentation and impact analysis. - Provide technical oversight on refrigeration cycle design, system architecture, and performance optimization. - Optimize product performance, energy efficiency, and cost through simulation insights. - Ensure system compliance with applicable HVAC standards - Act as the central interface between R&D;, mechanical design, electrical/controls, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and marketing teams. - Apply in-depth knowledge of refrigeration and air conditioning cycles for system optimization. - Work with sourcing team for development of system related parts - Oversee system performance testing, reliability validation, safety compliance, and product qualification activities - Good knowledge of Engineering changes process - Document control - Drive Value Analysis / Value Engineering (VAVE) initiatives across AC system platforms.
EDUCATION PREFERRED:
Bachelors’ Degree in Mechanical Engineering
M.Tech: Heat transfer / HVACR would be an added advantage.
PMP or equivalent project management certification
EXPERIENCE PREFERRED :
8+ years of engineering experience with at least 3–5 years in program/project management.
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of product development lifecycle (NPI/NPD processes) - Refrigeration/ air conditioning cycle - Experience managing cross-functional teams - HVAC Product performance & qualification - Knowledge of VRF & AC ISO standards - Understanding of system components - Selection of HVAC components - Understanding of VRF System - Design Simulations - Knowledge of MBD & Simulation software’s - VAVE in AC
Essential Competencies/ Primary Skill Set :
- Strong knowledge of refrigeration cycles and HVAC fundamentals. - Hands-on experience in VRF system design and configuration. - Experience in HVAC product testing and performance analysis with good understanding of Thermal engineering, Heat Transfer, Thermodynamics etc - Proficiency in simulation and modelling tools. - Understanding of ISO standards related to air conditioning systems and global compliance requirements. - Conversant with design of controls for HVAC systems - Exposure to Inverter technology, VRF - Exposure to product life cycle management tool - Experience in HVAC product development environments. - Exposure to VAVE and cost optimization projects. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
