Sr. Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Analyze and document data flows across multiple enterprise systems, including trading, accounting, compliance, and risk platforms, to ensure accurate data integration and reporting.
• Extract historical price data. Analyze compliance, Geneva, and Apex data to detect outliers.
• Work on the risk assessment process using various sources, from the Geneva accounting system positions to the final report for the traders.
• Create a "Market Value Calculator" for the firm, which allows traders to forecast the value of all funds and make informed decisions about trading terms.
• Develop a managed application (data processing engine) that takes XML configurations and processes multiple objects simultaneously. This application is now utilized across various projects within the firm.
• Implement outlier detection within the trade data set using the latest machine learning algorithms, applied through Python. This enables the firm to identify both unusually large and small volumes of positions traded on the fund. Implement a machine learning algorithm in the broker parser application to read brokers' emails, extract price information, and process it using a "Market Value Calculator."
• Integrate the "Market Value Calculator" into the Apex trading system.
• Enhance the "Market Value Calculator" to facilitate multiple report generation. This module now includes various components that provide visual representations of different data sets.

Additional Requirements

• Requires Travel or relocation 50% of the time to start on new projects or to interact with clients and train end users on long or short-term assignments domestically, within the United States.
• Requires Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Applications of closely related (or foreign equivalent) with 5 years of relevant experience or master’s degree in computer science, Computer Applications of closely related (or foreign equivalent) with 3 years of relevant experience.
• Requires, 3 years of experience in MS Analysis Services (SSAS), MS Integration Services (SSIS), python for finance (Investment fundamentals & Data Analysis) business Intelligence (Data Modelling, Data Warehousing, dimension modeling) Master Data management, Python, and SQL Server.
• Requires Python for finance Investment Fundamentals and Data Analysis certification.
