Compensation and Benefits
- Salary Range: $50,000 - $70,000 per year
- Full-time, in-person position
- 8-hour shifts

- Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting and financial reporting principles
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables and formulas)
- Understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles

Responsibilities
- General Ledger Maintenance: Prepare and post journal entries to ensure the accuracy of the general ledger, including adjustments for accruals, prepaids, and fixed assets.
- Month-End and Year-End Close: Assist with closing processes by preparing necessary adjusting entries and reconciliations to ensure financial data is accurately reported.
- Account Reconciliations: Perform account reconciliations for balance sheet accounts, including cash, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and other key accounts.
- Financial Reporting: Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
- Audit Support: Assist with internal and external audits by preparing documentation and providing supporting schedules for auditors.
- Fixed Assets and Depreciation: Oversee the fixed asset accounting process, including tracking capital expenditures, recording depreciation, and managing asset disposals.
- Variance Analysis: Analyze and explain variances in general ledger accounts and assist with budget vs. actual reporting.
- Internal Controls: Support internal control procedures to ensure compliance and recommend corrective actions where necessary.
- Process Improvement: Actively look for opportunities to improve the efficiency of accounting processes and financial reporting.
- Compliance: Assist with preparing and filing tax returns, regulatory reports, and compliance filings such as sales tax and property tax.
- Ad Hoc Projects: Support management with special projects and financial analyses as required.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting and financial reporting principles.
