Principal Systems Engineer

About

We are seeking a hands-on Principal Systems Engineer to support the development and integration of complex connected medical device systems within a highly collaborative R&D environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead system integration and end-to-end testing activities across wearable devices, mobile applications, cloud platforms, and software systems
• Develop and execute verification & validation (V&V) plans, test protocols, and reports
• Perform system-level debugging, troubleshooting, and integration testing
• Support automation, scripting, and test setup development
• Collaborate cross-functionally with hardware, firmware, software, QA, and regulatory teams
• Analyze system performance, reliability, and data integrity across connected platforms
• Support regulated medical device development processes and best practices

Required Experience

• Strong systems engineering and system-level integration experience
• Experience with hardware/software integration and end-to-end connected systems
• Hands-on experience with verification & validation (V&V), integration testing, and debugging
• Experience in regulated industries such as medical device, healthcare, aerospace, automotive, or defense
• Knowledge of embedded systems, sensors, cloud/mobile applications, and connected devices
• Experience with automation or scripting using Python and REST APIs
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps (ADO), debugging tools, DB queries, or Azure Log Analytics preferred

Preferred Background

• Medical device or connected healthcare product experience
• Experience supporting lab/testing environments and building test setups
• Strong cross-functional communication and collaboration skills
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or related technical discipline

Work Arrangement

• Hybrid role with expected onsite presence approximately 3 days/week in Bellevue, WA
• Relocation expected for selected candidates if not local
