The machCon GmbH is a growing consulting company that serves national and international large and medium-sized customers from a wide variety of industries. We currently have over 40 employees spread across our 3 locations in Zug, Basel, and Engen.

Your Role

As a System Engineer, you will be responsible for the conception, implementation, and maintenance of modern IT infrastructures and will support our customers in optimizing their IT landscape.

Your Tasks

• Planning, implementation, and operation of IT systems and network infrastructures
• Support and further development of existing IT architectures (on-premise, cloud, or hybrid)
• Analysis and resolution of technical problems as well as performance optimization
• Implementation of security and backup solutions according to current standards
• Support for IT projects, from planning to implementation
• Documentation of IT processes and creation of technical concepts
• Consulting and support for customers regarding their IT infrastructure

Your Profile

• Completed studies in computer science, system technology, or a comparable qualification
• At least 3 years of experience as a System Engineer or in a similar position
• In-depth knowledge of Windows and Linux server landscapes
• Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS)
• Knowledge of network architectures, firewalls, and IT security
• Very good German and English skills (spoken and written)
• Structured, analytical, and solution-oriented approach
• Strong communication skills and enjoyment of working with customers
