System Engineering Specialist with 9+ years of experience in System Engineering and RedHat OCP. Long‑term contract opportunity with a leading client in Strasbourg, France. Hybrid role: 1 week on‑site in Strasbourg and 3 weeks remote per month.

Requirements

  • 9+ years of relevant professional experience
  • 4+ years of higher education (Master's degree or equivalent)
  • Advanced experience with RedHat OCP (OpenShift Container Platform) deployed on‑prem or in cloud (Azure)
  • Expert knowledge of VMware technologies (vSphere, vSAN, Horizon)
  • Extensive experience in RedHat and Windows OS administration of large server farms
  • Proven experience in the administration of Backup & Storage systems (VEEAM, StoreOnce, traditional SAN, and CEPH)
  • Advanced skills in script development and troubleshooting using Ansible and PowerShell
  • Proficient in OCP platform administration and supporting tools (Red Hat Service Mesh, GitHub, Helm, GitOps, Ansible Automation Platform, Kafka)
  • Experience in managing servers, blade systems, and composable infrastructure
  • Knowledge of Active Directory (AD), LDAP, and Keycloak Management
  • Experience with monitoring and observability systems (Prometheus, Grafana, ElasticSearch, Fluentd, Kibana, Jaeger, Nagios, and Splunk)
  • Knowledge of Oracle hardware and infrastructure (EXADATA and ZDRLA)
  • Familiarity with ITIL/ITIL V3 processes (Incident, Change, Capacity, and Configuration management)
  • Basic knowledge of database systems (MS SQL, Oracle, and ElasticSearch) (Desirable)
  • Knowledge of mail servers, mail relays (postfix), anti‑virus, and anti‑spam (Desirable)
  • Language(s): English (fluent)

Responsibilities

  • Configure and troubleshoot virtual environments including VMware vSphere, vSAN, and Horizon
  • Design, implement, and administer backup and restore solutions using VEEAM and StoreOnce
  • Manage OCP platforms in DevOps mode using Red Hat Service Mesh, GitHub, Helm, GitOps, and Kafka
  • Develop, execute, and troubleshoot Ansible and PowerShell scripts for automation
  • Administer servers, blade systems, composable infrastructure, and storage systems (SAN, CEPH, vSAN)
  • Provide IT support, design, and troubleshooting for large server farms, SAN farms, and complex platforms
  • Handle PKI and certificate administration
  • Administer monitoring systems such as Nagios and Splunk
  • Manage mail clusters, relays (postfix), and centralized security policies
  • Perform centralized deployment of software and updates while ensuring software compliance
  • Support Oracle infrastructure, specifically EXADATA and ZDRLA
  • Manage highly available environments across multiple sites
