Job Introduction
Frequentis Group, with headquarters in Vienna, is an international supplier of communication and information systems for control centres with safety-critical tasks. Worldwide, 500 customers with 45,000 workstations already trust our know-how and many years of experience.
In our trainee programme we offer HTL and Bachelor graduates as well as career changers with a focus on IT, network and electro technology the opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of engineering. During the 10-month programme, we offer an all-round insight and enable numerous trainings, the exchange with experienced employees, the insight and direct collaboration in several teams (a total of 2-3 rotations) and the regular exchange with other participants.
After successful completion, you will receive a permanent employment contract and implement innovative solutions (e.g. remote tower) in our exciting customer environments.
The trainee programme starts in September 2026.
Key Tasks
During the trainee programme:
- Participation in internal training courses (including testing and development processes, technologies, Frequentis products and domains, and soft skills) – both remotely and in-house
- Rotation through several teams and active involvement in the further development of our communication and information systems
- Taking on independent testing and verification tasks as well as supporting system integrations
- Opportunity for initial business trips
Upon completion of the trainee programme – as a System Test Engineer:
- Independently specifying and carrying out integration, system and regression tests in complex system landscapes, including documentation of results
- Fault isolation, reporting and tracking
- Supporting system integrations and customer acceptance tests worldwide
- Further development within the company to become a Test Manager
Key Qualifications
- A completed HTL, university of applied sciences or university degree with a focus on IT, networking or electrical engineering
- Knowledge of Linux, Windows, virtualisation, scripting languages, VoIP and networking is an advantage
- A strong willingness to learn new technologies and tackle technical challenges
- Very good command of German and English
- An open, quality-conscious personality with an independent and responsible approach to work
- Willingness for international business trips (20% per year)
