Reporting to an engaged Sr. Director of Systems Engineering, you'll find a focus on leadership development, team strength, and fostering an environment where individuals can thrive. This role is remote and offers flexibility, but note that it is a field-facing position, requiring travel typically between 25% to 50% to connect with customers, partners, and your team.

Your Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of Systems Engineers.
  • Collaborate with sales leadership to shape strategy, drive pipeline, and execute plans effectively.
  • Stay engaged with key deals, PoCs, and client engagements.
  • Forge strong relationships with customers and business partners.
  • Foster a culture of accountability regarding performance, development, and measurable outcomes.
  • Empower the team to consistently surpass quota expectations.
  • Identify ways to enhance team operations and performance.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the technology landscape and competitive positioning.

Your Qualifications

  • 10+ years of relevant experience, including 3-5 years in leadership roles within presales.
  • A background in a quota-carrying SE or architect role.
  • Strong collaborative skills with sales teams, influencing key outcomes.
  • Deep knowledge in cloud, Kubernetes, virtualization, and modern data center technologies.
  • Experience in supporting enterprise customers in complex environments.
  • Ability to mentor and cultivate high-performing teams.
  • Comfortable in fast-paced, customer-facing scenarios.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Salesforce, Slack, and other collaboration platforms.

Work Arrangement

This position is primarily remote, with no specific in-office requirements. However, occasional travel to a local office or travel to different locations may be necessary based on business requirements.

The salary range for this role at the start of employment is projected to be between USD $225,600 and USD $338,400 annually. Actual pay offered may vary based on various individual factors including market location and experience. The total compensation package may also consist of other elements like a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards, along with a comprehensive benefits package (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time-off benefits such as vacation, sick leave, and parental leave) depending on the offered position.
