What you'll bring

• You have successfully completed a degree in (Business) Informatics, Data Science, or a comparable qualification.
• You have many years of experience in implementing AI, data, or digitalization projects.
• You have already led teams successfully, either technically or disciplinarily, and enjoy modern leadership.
• You have a deep understanding of current AI technologies and know how to use them profitably in the company.
• You are experienced in stakeholder management and confidently steer interdisciplinary projects through all phases.
• You are familiar with data protection and IT compliance and ensure responsible AI use.
• You convince as an analytical, strategic personality with strong communication skills.
• You communicate confidently and fluently in German and English.

What awaits you

• Leadership & Development of an interdisciplinary AI team (e.g., Data Scientists, ML Engineers, Data Engineers) including coaching, feedback, and team building.
• AI Strategy & Roadmap: Derivation, prioritization, and management of AI initiatives in close cooperation with product, IT, and business units.
• Use Case Development: Identification, evaluation, and implementation of AI use cases (e.g., forecasts, automation, NLP, recommenders, computer vision).
• Delivery & Quality: Ensuring end-to-end implementation (data basis, model, deployment, monitoring) including model quality, robustness, and performance.
• MLOps & Scaling: Building/further developing best practices (CI/CD for ML, feature stores, model registry, monitoring, retraining, experiment tracking).
• Stakeholder Management: Translating complex AI topics into understandable decisions, presentations, and business cases.
• Governance & Compliance: Co-designing responsible AI (e.g., data protection, bias/fairness, model documentation, risk assessment).
