VEGA Grieshaber KG develops and produces level and pressure measurement devices for the process industry and is considered a technology leader in the industry. Every 80 seconds, a new VEGA device goes into operation somewhere in the world, a total of 418,000 units annually. Each one is unique. Our sensors solve demanding measurement tasks in chemical and pharmaceutical plants, in the food industry, as well as in drinking water supply, wastewater treatment plants, and landfills, in mining and energy production, on drilling rigs, ships, and aircraft.

Your Tasks

• Disciplinary and technical leadership of an innovative development team
• Strategic further development of the team in coordination with development management
• Close coordination with other team leaders in this area for the further development and maintenance of our methodology for creating embedded software
• Competency-based promotion of talents in professional and personal aspects
• Resource planning together with project management and closely integrated collaboration with other team leaders in development
• Adherence to technical standards and norms for quality and occupational safety
• Support and coordination of the following focus areas:
  • Selection of a suitable software platform
  • Creation and release of a suitable software architecture
  • Integration of the required software components
  • Backlog and sprint planning for product software
  • Management of device parameters including wired and wireless communication
  • Creation and release of software versions

Your Profile

• Completed degree in computer science or a comparable qualification
• Many years of professional experience in software development
• Several years of experience as a team leader, project leader, or product owner
• Profound leadership skills as well as methodological and didactic competencies
• Strong problem-solving ability and logical thinking
• Organizational and coordination talent as well as strategic thinking
• Strong communication skills in German and English
