Tech Lead – Principal Solutions Architect

Role Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Tech Lead – Principal Solutions Architect to lead the design and implementation of enterprise-scale data platforms. This role will serve as the primary data warehouse architect for a federal data services and visualization platform, driving architecture for data lakes, warehouses, and analytics solutions within an AWS environment.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Data Warehousing and Data Architecture
• Strong experience designing data lakes and data warehouse solutions using cloud technologies
• Hands-on expertise with AWS services such as S3, Redshift, Aurora PostgreSQL, and related tools
• Experience with platforms such as Databricks and/or Palantir Foundry
• Proven ability to design logical and physical data models across heterogeneous data sources
• Expertise in performance tuning, data partitioning, and archiving strategies
• Strong knowledge of Slowly Changing Dimensions (SCD) and data lifecycle management
• 2+ years of experience in data cataloging and metadata management
• 5+ years of system architecture experience, including security and access control design
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.)
• Strong technical documentation and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in Palantir Foundry, including Ontology, Code Repositories, and tools like Contour, Quiver, and Workshop
• Hands-on experience integrating visualization tools such as Tableau, Qlik, or Socrata with data platforms
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively to senior leadership and non-technical stakeholders
