Technical Architect - Power BI & Microsoft Fabric

Role Overview

In this role, you will collaborate with Business and IT stakeholders for requirement gathering, translating business needs into technical specifications, and delivering BI solutions. You will lead Data Modernization initiatives using Azure and Databricks, and design reporting solutions leveraging Power BI on Microsoft Fabric. Your role will involve preparing architecture blueprints, creating HLDs and LLDs for BI solutions, and building and orchestrating end-to-end data pipelines using Fabric Dataflows Gen2 and Notebooks.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Business and IT teams for requirement gathering and solution design
• Prepare architecture blueprints and create HLDs and LLDs for BI solutions
• Build reporting solutions using Power BI on Microsoft Fabric
• Work with DirectLake, OneLake, and Lakehouses for scalable data architecture design
• Design Gold layer and data models for reporting and downstream consumption
• Lead report migrations from legacy BI platforms to Power BI
• Provide constructive feedback during code reviews and troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently

Qualifications Required

• B.Tech/MCA/M.Tech educational qualification
• 10+ years of experience in the field
• Experience with ETL/ELT solutions using Databricks or ADF/Synapse
• Strong expertise in Power BI Pro, Premium, and Paginated Reports
• Advanced expertise in DAX, Power Query, and M language
• Experience with Dataflows, Incremental Refresh, Row-Level Security (RLS), and data modeling
• Proven track record in leading Data Modernization initiatives using Azure and Databricks

Additional Information

This role requires strong communication skills, interpersonal skills, problem-solving capabilities, and the ability to work in Agile/Scrum environments. You will be expected to deliver at least 8 Power BI projects and 1 Microsoft Fabric project, demonstrating strong customer engagement and stakeholder management skills throughout the process.
