About the Role
The C.A.S.E. Engineering Group is seeking a highly capable Technical Project Manager / Solution Architect to support a federal agency’s Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO). This role sits at the intersection of enterprise architecture, strategic advisory, and program execution, supporting senior leadership in driving modernization, consolidation, and innovation across the enterprise.
This is a high-visibility role requiring direct engagement with members of the Senior Executive Service (SES). The ideal candidate is both technically grounded and strategically minded, with a proven ability to translate complex technical findings into clear, actionable insights that drive executive decision-making.
We are seeking a candidate who is available to start immediately and can quickly integrate into an active, fast-paced federal environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted advisor to OCIO leadership, preparing and delivering executive-level briefings to Senior Executive Service (SES) stakeholders
- Lead enterprise architecture discovery, assessments, and analysis across cybersecurity, infrastructure, and data domains
- Identify opportunities for system consolidation, modernization, and optimization across the enterprise
- Evaluate current-state environments and develop forward-looking recommendations aligned with federal priorities, including:
- Automation
- Centralization
- AI integration and enablement
- Adoption and alignment with Zero Trust Architecture principles
- Synthesize complex technical findings and translate them into clear, concise, and actionable insights to support executive decision-making
- Translate technical analysis into strategic recommendations, roadmaps, and executive briefings
- Lead and facilitate weekly meetings, working groups, and stakeholder engagements
- Document meeting minutes, decisions, and action items with clarity and precision
- Develop and maintain strategic roadmaps, modernization plans, and architecture artifacts aligned with federal standards such as Federal Enterprise Architecture Framework
- Collaborate across multiple stakeholders within and outside the OCIO to ensure alignment and execution
Required Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must be able to work onsite in Washington, DC (Monday–Thursday)
- Bachelor of Science in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in IT, enterprise architecture, or technical program management
- Strong experience in enterprise IT environments, including cybersecurity, infrastructure, and data
- Understanding of or experience supporting Zero Trust initiatives or related cybersecurity modernization efforts
- Proven ability to interface with senior leadership, including executive-level briefing experience
- Demonstrated ability to identify, distill, and translate complex technical findings into actionable insights for executive audiences
- Demonstrated executive presence, with the ability to confidently engage and brief senior leaders
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, including experience conducting current-state assessments, gap analyses, and maturity evaluations
- Ability to engage and align stakeholders across technical and non-technical domains
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, with the ability to develop executive-level briefings and visual narratives
- Strong documentation and facilitation skills, including meeting minutes, roadmaps, and strategic artifacts
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting federal agencies or government IT environments
- Familiarity with federal enterprise architecture practices, including Federal Enterprise Architecture Framework
- Experience supporting or advising on Zero Trust Architecture strategy, implementation, or assessment efforts
- Exposure to or experience with AI/ML integration in enterprise environments
- Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, AWS, Azure, CISSP)
Work Requirements
- Onsite Monday through Thursday in Washington, DC
- Telework on Fridays as available
- Standard work hours: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday
- Must be comfortable operating in a high-visibility, executive-facing environment
