Technical Writer* / Information Developer*

Valentum Engineering has its roots in the automotive industry. After successfully establishing itself as a development partner with renowned vehicle manufacturers, automotive suppliers, and system suppliers, numerous customers from other industries now also rely on our support. We are active in all development phases – from specification, software/hardware development, and validation to testing.

We are looking for a Technical Writer* / Information Developer* for our Munich location, starting immediately, to create high-quality technical documentation for complex hardware and software products.

Your Responsibilities

• Self-creation of target group-oriented technical customer documentation for various areas (user, service) and products (hardware, software)
• Creation of documentation according to current standards in German and English using XML-based editorial and content management systems
• Independent work incorporating own technical knowledge, research, development documents, and product simulations; conducting interviews with internal partners and subject matter experts
• Responsibility for the entire documentation lifecycle: from research and development of the information concept to publication and handover for translation
• Development of information architectures and implementation of defined documentation concepts; participation in the further development of documentation products and new solutions
• Close collaboration with editorial teams and cross-functional teams, including developers*, engineers*, and internal stakeholders

Your Profile

• Completed studies in Technical Communication, Engineering, Natural Sciences, or a comparable field
• Professional experience in technical communication; confident handling of topic-related writing, single-source and cross-media publishing in content management systems
• Experience in complex project environments; documentation of products with long lifecycles; confident handling of tools for version control and change management
• Quick comprehension with strong technical interest; ability to independently familiarize oneself with complex technical topics; strong analytical and abstract thinking skills
• German language skills at C1 level and English language skills at C1/C2 level - mastery of technical terminology in both languages
• Experience in writing texts according to the S1000D standard for editorial/technical documentation is an advantage
