Are you ready to translate complex technology into clear and concise language? We are looking for an experienced Technical Writer (m/f/d) to take our documentation processes to the next level. At Rohde & Schwarz, you can expect challenging projects in a state-of-the-art environment.

Responsibilities from research to publication:

• Documentation creation: You will independently develop target-group-oriented technical documentation for users and service technicians (hardware & software).
• Content creation: Adhering to applicable standards, you will write texts in German and English directly in our XML-based editorial systems.
• Information architecture: You will design information concepts, implement defined structures, and contribute to the further development of our documentation products.
• Interface management: You will work closely with editorial teams and across functions with development and engineering.
• Process responsibility: From initial research and expert interviews to publication and handover to translation, the entire process is in your hands.

Qualifications

• Technisches Verständnis trifft Schreibtalent
• Qualification: Completed degree in Technical Communication, Engineering, Natural Sciences, or a comparable qualification.
• Experience: You have 2–4 years of professional experience in technical communication.
• Methodology: You master topic-based writing, single source, and cross-media publishing in CMS environments.
• Know-how: Ideally, you already have experience with standards like S1000D and in handling version control and change management tools.
• Languages: You have negotiation-level skills in German (C1) and English (C1/C2) including technical terminology.
• Personality: A strong analytical mindset and the ability to quickly familiarize yourself with complex technical issues characterize you.
