Technical Writer (m/w/d)

Tasks

• Develop user-facing documentation, including operating manuals, service guides, and software instructions
• Produce assembly instructions and test procedures for manufacturing
• Create and maintain structured content for specific audiences using an XML-based CMS (Schema ST4) and Adobe FrameMaker
• Ensure all documentation meets regulatory standards
• Integrate findings from risk analyses into documentation
• Conduct product photography and perform image editing
• Generate technical illustrations from 2D and 3D data
• Write and edit content in both German and English
• Coordinate translation workflows and manage terminology

Qualification

• Degree in a technical field with additional training in Technical Writing, a degree in Technical Communication, or several years of relevant experience
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience
• Strong command of DTP, illustration, and image-editing tools (FrameMaker, Photoshop, Illustrator)
• Hands-on experience with Schema ST4
• Proficiency with 3D illustration tools (e.g., Creo Illustrate, 3DVia Composer, or comparable software)
• Excellent German (native-level) and English (C1) skills, both written and spoken
• Strong collaboration skills and the ability to gather information from various stakeholders
• Ability to distill complex information and create audience‑specific, compliant documentation

Requirements

• Start: 3 months notice is possible
• Duration: Permanent or 6 months contract initially
• Capacity: 5 days per week
