Technical Writer Specialist

Role Overview

You will be joining a team of technical writers at FIS, a leading fintech solutions provider, where you will be responsible for making technical or specialized information more accessible to users through appropriate media.

Key Responsibilities

• Research, outline, write, and edit functional, technical, and process documents in collaboration with various departments to meet project requirements.
• Standardize the structure and writing style according to FIS brand guidelines and market standards.
• Deliver product documentation within agreed-upon timelines such as sprint end date, code complete date, or product release date.
• Conduct peer reviews diligently to ensure adherence to technical writing standards and style guide.
• Track release timelines and plan document updates and follow-ups during sprint planning or agreed intervals.

Qualifications Required

• Bachelor's Degree, preferably in a technical field like computer science, English, writing, or communications.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in a software development environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience in content across multiple mediums.
• Preferred experience with tools like MindTouch, Madcap Flare, RoboHelp, Word, JIRA, Git & GitHub, TFS, SVN.
• Excellent attention to detail, ability to prioritize, and work on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
