About
This position serves as a control point for acquisition/management/writing/editorial control of technical orders and other requested documentation.
Education
• Bachelor’s degree or four (4) years’ work experience as an avionics technician, maintenance technician or technical writer.
Experience
• Experience in Adobe Frame Maker, Arbor Text, Adobe Photoshop, and ABBY FineReader preferred. • Experience desired in writing original Technical Manuals, revisions, changes, supplements, checklists, etc. from source data provided.
License, Cert or Registration
• Must have a valid state driver’s license when required by job assignment. • Must obtain a valid government driver’s license when required by job assignment. • Must obtain a valid commercial driver's license (CDL) to include hazardous material endorsement when required by job assignment. • Must obtain the level of Industrial Security Clearance required by the Government.
Special knowledge, skills, & abilities
• Must be physically able to perform duties and responsibilities of the classification. • Must be able to work with required materials without debilitating irritation to skin, eyes or respiratory system while wearing the required personal protective equipment.
