About Us:

Maplesoft Group is currently seeking a Hybrid Technology Architect (Cloud Solution Services) for our client in Ottawa, ON.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop architecture artifacts and technical roadmaps that support the modernization of departmental infrastructure, ensuring alignment with enterprise cloud strategies, digital objectives.
  • Design, implement, and document secure, scalable, cost-effective and integrated infrastructure solutions across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments.
  • Assess business and technical requirements and define infrastructure configurations and service models that support the department’s digital and IM/IT program objectives.
  • Collaborate with cloud platform teams, application developers, cybersecurity specialists, and enterprise architects to ensure that infrastructure solutions support performance, security, availability, and operational continuity.
  • Produce documentation including architecture designs, cloud deployment models, system integration plans, and operational support guides.
  • Provide expert guidance on cloud migration, infrastructure-as-code practices, platform engineering approaches, and workload optimization within public and private cloud environments.
  • Monitor and report activities for projects on a continuous basis.

Required Qualifications:

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
  • A diploma or degree in Computer Science or equivalent post-secondary, minimum 3-year program.
  • A minimum of ten (10) years of experience within the last 15 years performing Technology Architect (Cloud Solution Services) duties in an IT environment.
  • A minimum of eight (8) years of combined experience developing architecture artifacts and technical roadmaps that support the modernization of departmental infrastructure, ensuring alignment with enterprise cloud strategies, digital service delivery requirements, and interoperability objectives.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of combined experience assessing business and technical requirements, defining infrastructure configurations and service models that support the department’s digital and IM/IT program objectives.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience collaborating with various IT teams, management, and other stakeholders to align cloud solutions with business objectives.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience with the development and design of comprehensive cloud architectures and infrastructure tailored to organizational needs, following cloud security best practices and industry standards and regulations.
  • A minimum of eight (8) years of experience in the provisioning and management of cloud infrastructure, including virtual machines, storage, and networking.
  • A minimum of eight (8) years of experience in the creation and implementation of cloud adoption strategies and cloud migration plans.
  • Two (2) or more industry-recognized professional certifications relevant to the duties of the role. Acceptable certifications include but are not limited to the list below. Equivalent certifications may be considered, provided they demonstrate comparable scope, rigor, and relevance.
    • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104), or newer;
    • Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate (AZ-500), or newer;
    • Microsoft Certified: Security Operations Analyst (SC-200), or newer;
    • Microsoft Certified: Microsoft Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals (SC-900), or newer;
    • Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ-400), or newer.
