Test Manager / Test Engineer - Embedded Systems & Cyber Security

Your role in the team

• Test Strategy & Management: You design, plan, and manage the entire testing process for software projects with a focus on embedded systems and PLCs (SPS).
• Cyber Security Testing: You integrate security aspects into the testing cycle (e.g., Penetration Testing, Fuzzing, or Vulnerability Scanning) and ensure compliance with common standards.
• Test automation: You identify potentials for automation.
• Requirements analysis: You work closely with development and product management to embed verifiability and security requirements already in the design phase.
• Reporting: You monitor the testing progress, assess risks, and provide well-founded decision-making bases for the release process.
• Team coordination: You are responsible for smooth operations, transparency, and good communication within an international testing team.

Our expectations:

Qualifications

• Embedded expertise: You are proficient in hardware-related software and ideally have good knowledge in testing PLCs/PLCs or industrial control systems.
• Security Focus: You are familiar with the common standards and security analysis tools in the field of Cyber Security.
• Methodological knowledge: Familiarity with project management tools and time management methods, as well as certifications according to ISTQB (e.g., Certified Tester, Test Manager, or Security Tester), are highly advantageous.
• Organizational talent: Structuring tasks, scheduling appointments, and effective resource management are part of the daily routine.
• Social competence & communication skills: You act as an interface and promote a productive working environment with empathy, motivation, strong communication skills, and conflict resolution abilities. You ensure effective interaction with team members and stakeholders to maintain transparency.
• Flexibility & Stress Resistance: Even under pressure, you work purposefully and respond confidently to unforeseen challenges.
• Familiar with working with tools such as CANalyzer, Azure DevOps, Windchill RV&S, as well as frameworks for test automation (e.g., Python, Pytest, Robot Framework).
• Languages: Negotiation-level German (C1) and English.

Education

• Professional competence: You hold a degree in computer science, electrical engineering, industrial engineering, or a similar field, and have several years of professional experience, including project management and technical leadership of a team in a matrix organization.
