Position Name: Testing Engineer greenhouse components (Headliner, Sunvisor, Grab handles etc.)

Reporting Position: Interior Commodity Lead

Years of Experience: >10 to 16 yrs.

Qualification: BE/ ME. (Mechanical/Automobile)

Location: TCP Pune

Purpose of the Position (Short Summary of the Role):

Responsible for coordination and execution of respective set greenhouse components, systems and vehicle level test. Responsible for planning, conducting and evaluating test as per the test matrix given LAH with component supplier, EG, QA and other departments. Responsible for preparation of testing time plan and tracking all testing activities. Monitor testing progress and highlight the risk well in advance. Responsible to create, check, release (BMG & K) test reports ensuring VW group Guide lines for corrosion and safety and homologation requirements, Responsible for coordination and execution of test external test agency like ARAI, etc. ensuring right set up of fixtures , assembly , parts BIW, Car etc.

Authority:

Take a decision on failures for overcoming the problems in co-relation with development engineers in TCP and Headquarters. Authorize to decide the repetition of test based on test results. Suggest and guide suppliers for failure analysis and testing process optimization.

Authorized to take decisions on component design and testing failures and provide solutions.

Skills Required: • Components, System and Vehicle level testing & set up know how • Applications of raw materials and failure criteria. Understanding on testing and validation criteria • Test Results Interpretation, analysis and recommendation • Ability to think in wider scope and good communication skills • Qualification criteria of component , systems based on functionality • Knowhow of testing budget management, part, BIW movement

Key Responsibilities &Tasks: • Plan, organization and conducting of tests, including of definition of time schedule with respect to reach project milestones (P, B, BMG, SOP). • Organize and conduct the measurement and testing of the parts and components in an efficient and appropriate way for decision making or implementation. • Define counter measures for failed test and support development engineers • Single point contact for suppliers and other departments in India & other locations for dashboard, door trims and console-armrest testing. • Define the test programs in technical assignment (LAH/ TDO ) for parts in responsibility of Full Service / BTP Supplier. Create technical assignment for external conducting of tests. • Work with component development team to identify and capture test cases, ensure version management. Create short version of all test standards. • Create testing documents and presentation for meetings on management level and lead the supplier meetings to support development engineer. • Define the conception and methodic of tests, define the test goals and ensure the testing capacity • Based on PEP guidelines ensure that the respective component milestones (technical and budgetary) are completed as per project definition. • Support the team and be responsible for testing budget & closing GRN. And material movementincluding relevant administrative activities • Ensure compliance with internal and external requirement such as Specifications (LAH) regulatory, homologation and identified Key performance Indicators (KPI’s) • Evaluate, analysis and definition of action plan with timeline for failed test components and cooperate on their realization in components. • Responsible for external testing facility capability evaluation and recommendation
