Thermal Simulation Engineer

We are seeking a Thermal Simulation Engineer to support the design and development of advanced systems through detailed thermal modeling and analysis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in heat transfer (primarily solid conduction), simulation tools, and engineering analysis to ensure optimal thermal performance of products and components.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute thermal simulations to evaluate heat transfer, thermal performance, and system behavior
• Build, validate, and refine thermal models using industry-standard tools (e.g., Thermal Desktop, Icepak, ANSYS Fluent)
• Perform steady-state and transient thermal analyses to support design decisions
• Analyze results and provide recommendations to improve thermal efficiency and reliability
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to integrate thermal solutions into product designs
• Prepare technical reports, documentation, and presentations of simulation results
• Support testing, validation, and troubleshooting of thermal performance issues

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in thermal modeling, simulation, or heat transfer analysis
• U.S. Citizenship required (due to project or security requirements)

Required Skills

• Hands-on experience with Thermal Desktop, Icepak, ANSYS Fluent, or similar tools
• Strong understanding of heat transfer principles (conduction-focused; solid materials) and thermodynamics
• Experience developing and analyzing thermal models and simulations
• Proficiency in interpreting simulation data and translating it into engineering insights
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with multiphysics or coupled thermal-structural simulations
• Familiarity with scripting tools (e.g., Python, MATLAB) for automation and analysis
• Experience supporting aerospace, electronics, or high-performance systems
