About the role

Job Title

TPS Developer (PCB Design & Development)

Location

Pune, Maharashtra

Summary

We are seeking an experienced TPS Developer with a strong background in PCB design, reverse engineering, and development. The ideal candidate should possess a blend of hardware, electronics, and analytical skills, along with hands-on experience in designing complex multilayer PCB boards, maintaining component databases, and collaborating with cross‑functional teams.
This role requires proficiency in tools like Cadence OrCad, Multisim, Altium Designer, and Eagle, combined with a solid understanding of industry standards, electronics repair, testing approaches, and the ability to work with obsolete components and recreate schematics from physical boards.

Key Responsibilities

  • PCB Design and Layout

    • Design and layout of rigid, complex multilayer PCB boards (power, analog, and digital).
    • Develop and maintain a comprehensive component database, including schematic symbols and footprint libraries with various packages.
    • Apply expertise in routing circuits (RF signals, high‑speed interfaces, impedance‑controlled traces, thermal design, DC‑DC power supplies, and high‑density mixed‑signal microcontroller boards).
  • PCB Debugging and Fault Finding

    • Conduct PCB debugging and fault finding using tools such as JTAG, ICFT, OCFT, and ICT.
    • Experience with ATE for PCB TPS development and validation.
  • Reverse Engineering and Analysis

    • Perform reverse engineering of PCBs, including recreating schematics and generating full documentation from physical boards.
    • Analyze and repair faulty electronics and conduct failure analysis.
    • Understand and interpret circuit schematics; work with obsolete components and use cross‑reference tools for part substitution.
  • Tool Proficiency

    • Proficient in PCB tools: Cadence OrCad, Multisim, Altium Designer, Eagle.
    • Execute PCB reverse engineering based on technical/customer inputs.
    • Generate and manage Gerber files, BOMs, ODB++, and fabrication & assembly drawings.
  • Standards and Compliance

    • Knowledge of IPC standards: IPC‑7351, IPC‑2221, IPC‑A‑610.
    • Plan multilayer stack‑ups and constraint settings.
    • Design with considerations for EMI/EMC, thermal, and mechanical performance.
  • Collaboration and Documentation

    • Collaborate with hardware, mechanical, and fabrication teams.

Key Result Areas

  • Test Program Suite Development: Design, develop, and manage TPS for PCB testing.
  • Client & Stakeholder Communication: Ensure seamless communication and alignment with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience in PCB design, reverse engineering, and fault diagnosis.
  • Deep understanding of IPC standards and EMI/EMC design practices.
  • Strong hands‑on experience with industry‑standard tools.
  • Excellent problem‑solving, analytical, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate across functional teams.
  • Experience in high‑speed circuit design and layout.
  • Proficiency in ATE systems for PCB TPS development.
  • Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
  • 5+ years' of development experience.
