Job Description
We are seeking an experienced AWS Administrator to manage and optimize our cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in AWS services, strong problem‑solving skills, and the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams to ensure secure, scalable, and cost‑effective cloud solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- AWS Service Management: Administer and maintain AWS services including S3, Glacier, EC2, EMR, IAM, RDS, and Redshift.
- Storage Solutions: Design and implement secure, scalable storage using Amazon S3 and Glacier.
- Compute Management: Provision and manage EC2 instances, ensuring high availability, security, and cost optimization.
- Big Data Processing: Configure and manage Amazon EMR clusters for large‑scale data processing and analytics.
- Access Control: Implement and enforce IAM policies and roles for secure resource access.
- Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize AWS services for performance, availability, and scalability.
- Database Administration: Manage RDS databases, including backups, patching, and performance tuning.
- Data Warehousing: Set up and administer Redshift clusters for analytics and reporting.
- Architecture Design: Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to design and implement AWS architectures aligned with business needs.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve AWS service and infrastructure issues promptly.
- Compliance & Security: Ensure adherence to AWS best practices, security standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Risk Management: Conduct regular audits and reviews to identify and mitigate infrastructure risks.
- Continuous Learning: Stay updated on AWS service enhancements, new features, and industry trends.
- Data Architecture Understanding: Operate effectively across Business, Technical, Application, and Technology levels of data and data architecture.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Professional or Associate level).
- Minimum 6 years of hands‑on experience with AWS services.
- Strong knowledge of cloud security, networking, and cost optimization strategies.
- Experience with automation tools (CloudFormation, Terraform) and monitoring solutions (CloudWatch).
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with data analytics tools and big data frameworks.
