Mission Description

Safran Timing Technologies SA (STT) is a high-technology company, a world leader in the design and production of silicon micro-systems (MEMS) and in the manufacturing of atomic clocks.

As a subsidiary of the Safran Group, we are a human-sized company of 200 employees, based in French-speaking Switzerland, with our headquarters in Neuchâtel, and a second site located in Yverdon-les-Bains.

Our Operations department is currently looking for a VIE to contribute to our digital transformation strategy by enriching our Data Management tools.

You will report to the Operations Directorate.

In this context, you will be responsible for improving our data management tools and enriching the database with new data useful to users. This data, its analysis, and its "real-time" availability will be used for efficient and rapid steering and decision-making.

Responsibilities

Within the framework of the mission, you will be led to:

• Develop and maintain efficient extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) data flows.
• Map, structure, and connect available data
• Understand and translate business needs in terms of data by collaborating with cross-functional teams
• Manage DATA projects from the definition of the "use case" to implementation and monitoring.
• Propose and create a working environment for development and production to facilitate script debugging without impacting production databases
• Implement data cataloging
• Set up Dashboards for monitoring the proper functioning of data flows
• Participate in promoting the Data Analytics culture within the company by stimulating the use of innovative techniques related to data science (text extraction, data visualization, machine learning…)
• Write documentation describing the implemented flows and tools
• Transfer your knowledge in programming and data science (language, techniques, documentation...)
