Role Description

We are looking for a motivated Werkstudent to join our engineering team and help build the next generation of agentic AI tooling. You will work directly with senior engineers and co-founders on a live product in active client engagements. This is a hands-on engineering role, you will design, build, and iterate on AI agents that ship to production.

What You Will Work On

• Design and implement AI agents using LangGraph, CrewAI, or equivalent orchestration frameworks
• Build tool-use pipelines connecting agents to external systems and data sources
• Integrate LLM APIs (Anthropic Claude, OpenAI) with structured output, function-calling, and RAG
• Develop and maintain MCP (Model Context Protocol) server integrations
• Write evaluation harnesses to measure agent accuracy and output quality
• Contribute to backend architecture (Python / FastAPI) and cloud deployment (Azure / AWS)

What We Are Looking For

Required:

• Currently enrolled at a German university (Immatrikulationsbescheinigung required)
• Solid Python skills — production-quality code, not just notebooks
• Hands-on experience with LLM APIs and prompt engineering
• Understanding of AI agent patterns: tool use, memory, planning loops, multi-agent orchestration
• Familiarity with REST APIs and async Python
• Strong written and verbal English

Nice to Have:

• Experience with LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, or similar frameworks
• Knowledge of RAG architectures and vector databases (Qdrant, Pinecone, Chroma)
• Experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, or Docker
